Crates are crucial objects scattered around the gardens and are there to help all contenders.
Crates come in various forms:
Ammo: These are small, yellow crates that can replenish your standard bolts or weapon's ammo
Health: These red crates can be used by Runners to recover their health, or self-revive if they are downed
Power Cores: These blue crates contain parts essential in using powered bolts, or for activating Drones
Golden Crate: This is a special crate that randomly appears during arena events. Should a Scavenger be the first to open it, the team is granted infinite ammo/powered bolts for a short amount of time. However, if a Hunter reaches it, they are granted infinite ammo and stamina for the duration of the power-up.
Marking crates grants Scavengers a small amount of points and signposts them to the rest of the team. Take advantage of this mechanic so that your team knows where to find specific resources.
If multiple Scavengers are in close proximity to a crate or biological waste and a single Scavenger interacts with it, each Scavenger will receive the crate's contents or bonus. This means a Scavenger can mark a crate, wait for others to come closer and then interact with it in order to make sure everyone gets the bonus within. Blood will also be shared in the same way.
Hunters can also “mark” these crates. By shooting a crate, the Hunter “Hacks” it. Whenever a Scavenger interacts with a hacked crate, that person alerts the Hunter and becomes revealed.
